Coban Parang Tejo – A Hidden Gem at the Base of Mount Buthak

Tucked away in the foothills of Mount Buthak, **Coban Parang Tejo** is a captivating waterfall surrounded by untouched natural beauty. Located in **Princi Gading Kulon, Godehan, Kucur Village, Dau District, Malang Regency**, this destination is about an hour’s drive from downtown Malang, making it a perfect getaway from the bustle of the city.

Entrance Fee & Visiting Hours

For just **IDR 15,000**, visitors gain access to the entire site, including all photo spots and nature rides. The waterfall is open daily, from **8:00 AM to 5:30 PM WIB**. The best time to visit is early in the morning—around 8 a.m.—when sunlight occasionally creates a rainbow at the foot of the waterfall, adding to the magic of the scene.

Nature’s Tranquil Beauty

The waterfall drops from a towering height, forcing visitors to look skyward to see its peak. Water flows gently down, appearing like a white curtain, especially under bright sunlight. On both sides of the waterfall, lush vegetation including vines, mosses, and thick foliage frame the view beautifully.

Standing close to the waterfall, you’ll feel the cool spray of crystal-clear mountain water. The name "Parang Tejo comes from Javanese, where Parang means "cliff" and Tejo means "rainbow a name that perfectly describes the morning view when the sunlight hits just right.
